The YAC field trip and workshop at Tate St Ives was a first for us. With their exciting new exhibition, part of the gallery was transformed into an active studio, and our youth group was invited join in. The colourful, bold new exhibition by Ad Minolitibiosfera was a highlight for our young artists.
We also got to get creative and make and design our own zines, maybe one day ours will be art of the Tate Zine Library. We were also given a tour and informative guide by some of the staff around the permanent exhibitions and art collections.
It’s safe to say our young artists were inspired, moved and encouraged by the art work and the environment of a big gallery like the Tate.
